'Arab Media Convention for Human Fraternity'

Participants in the 'Arab Media Convention for Human Fraternity' in Abu Dhabi said the social media had negatively affected Arab media platforms and their commitment to the codes of honor of media and journalism.
They made the remarks during a workshop organized by the two-day convention.
Akhbar Al Youm Board Chairman Yasser Rezq - who attended the workshop - castigated at satellite channels affiliated to Qatar over their flagrant violation of the codes of honor of media and journalism.
Rezq highlighted the fake news purported by such channels.
Meanwhile, Naela Farouk, head of the Egyptian Television, noted that some newspapers and media impose on their team their policies which sometimes do not go in harmony with the media code of honor. (MENA)
