Shoukry asserts Egypt's firm stance on Arab Gulf security

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has stressed Egypt's firm stance towards supporting the security and stability of Gulf countries, as an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security.
Shoukry was speaking at a meeting on Thursday 05/03/2020 with visiting UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said.
The two sides reviewed the distinguished relations between Egypt and the UAE, as well as the regional and international issues of common concern, the spokesman added.
The pair hailed the strong strategic ties binding Cairo and Abu Dhabi, underlining the importance of pushing forward all aspects of cooperation during the coming period, the spokesman noted.
They also tackled the latest regional developments, notably the Libyan and Syrian crises, reiterating their rejection of regional interference in Arab states' affairs.
They also discussed the outcome of yesterday's foreign ministerial meeting of the Arab League council.
