Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawki Allam on Friday condemned a terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint near the US embassy in Tunis, leaving a police officer dead and others, including civilians, injured.
In a statement, Allam said the Islamic Sharia fully rejects all forms of aggression on innocent people, asserting that Islam has prohibited any forms of aggression or harm against humans.
The terrorist attacks worldwide prove that thoughts of such extremist groups have nothing to do with any religions, the mufti noted.
He also called on the international community to take all necessary measures to confront terrorism and waves of extremism, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
