Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi met Saturday 02/05/2020 with the Egyptian Football Association's (EFA) five-member normalization committee, chaired by Amr el Ganayni.

The meeting tackled the EFA plan for the coming period and available stadiums that could host football matches in case the government decided to resume sporting activities anytime.

Resuming the tournaments and other sporting activities will be decided only by the government according to the latest developments and protective and precautionary measures aiming at halting the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, Sobhi said.

Under the current situation, it is very difficult to resume the sporting activities, the minister stressed, denying reports claiming that the tournaments were planned to be resumed in May.
