Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Friday 19/06/2020 that the government gives great attention to the petroleum sector as a vital driving force of production and development.

This came during a meeting with Petroleum Minister Tarek Mulla to review a number of files and to follow up the latest developments concerning establishing various projects.

The premier was reassured on the availability of reserves of petroleum products and directed to increase them to benefit from the decline in global oil prices in the current period.

The premier also followed up the situation of oil and gas exploration projects currently being implemented in cooperation with a number of international petroleum companies.

Madbouli noted that the government is keen on increasing the volume of projects of excavating for more energy resources, calling for finalizing such projects as soon as possible especially that they are to have a great benefit for the Egyptian economy.

Meanwhile, Mulla reviewed the latest achievements of the ministry in various petroleum activities and fields.
