Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli revealed Tuesday 23/6/2020 new measures adopted by the Supreme Committee for the management of the coronavirus crisis.
The new measures will enter into force as of Saturday, the Cabinet media center said in a statement.
The committee decided to lift the nighttime curfew, reopen restaurants, sporting clubs, and places of worship with capacity initially capped at 25 percent. However, the hookah (shisha) ban will remain in place.
Cinemas, culture institutes, and theatres will also reopen at 25-percent capacity.
The ongoing precautionary measures will continue at state administrative apparatus, public sector companies, public business sector companies, and excluded groups.
Shops will be allowed to open till 21:00 CLT instead of the current 18:00, while restaurants and cafes will open till 22:00, and public means of transportation will operate till midnight.
Public parks and beaches would remain closed.
Mosques and churches will be open for daily praying but not for end-of-week prayers or services which see larger crowds.
Such measures will be periodically reviewed, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said.
