President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Sunday 15/3/2020 Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo "Hamidati", the First Vice President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council with the attendance Head of the General Intelligence Abbas Kamel.

President Sisi said Egypt has always supported Sudan particularly throughout the current critical transitional phase, asserting that Egypt takes into consideration the joint strategic interests between the two countries.

Hamidati conveyed the greetings of General Abdel Fattah Al Borhan to President Sisi and praised Egypt's genuine strenuous support to efforts to protect the safety and stability of Sudan at such a historic milestone.

He expressed his country's appreciation of the active role Egypt plays in the region and in Africa.

The meeting covered a number of regional issues and the latest developments in the Ethiopian Dam file.
