President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Wednesday 4/3/2020 South Sudan Vice President James Wani Igga, where he welcomed the announcement by South Sudan President Salva Kiir and opposition leader Riek Machar of forming a national unity government.

President Sisi underlined the importance of building on what has been achieved at the political level for implementing the peace agreement that was signed between the two sides.

President Sisi lauded bilateral relations and confirmed his keenness on upgrading joint cooperation.

For his part Igga expressed his country's appreciation for the Egyptian people and leadership.

The visiting official also expounded the recent developments in South Sudan; appreciating Egyptian efforts supporting stability in his country.
