Saturday، 15 August 2020 - 02:47 PM

Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abd El-Wahab reviewed Saturday 15/08/2020 ways to lure more German investments into Egypt.

During a meeting with Managing Director of Germany's Energy giant Siemens Emad Ghaly and the head of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Abd El-Wahab underlined Egypt's interest in fostering cooperation on SMEs, which play an effective role in the German economy.

He also stressed Egypt's commitment to support all German companies investing or willing to invest in Egypt during the period ahead.

The two sides agreed to keep in touch with the German business community by holding a meeting with representatives of German companies at GAFI every month.

The authority will organize a virtual meeting with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in September, which will see the participation of about 120 German companies, to discuss the latest economic developments and explore investment opportunities in Egypt, Abd El-Wahab said.

The meeting took up the authority's facilitating measures to ensure an investment-friendly environment, such as by providing online incorporation and e-signature services.
