AOI signs final contract with Benya Capital to establish Benya Factory for optical-fiber cables

Fiber Misr for Communications and Information Technology (Benya Capital), a telecom and technology solutions provider, has signed the final contract for the Benya Factory for fiber-optic cables in partnership with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).
The move comes within the framework of the final steps to establish the largest factory for manufacturing optical fiber cables in Egypt, Africa and the Arab world, with investments exceeding one billion Egyptian pounds at the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The agreement asserts the pivotal role played by the AOI and Benya Capital in introducing the latest production technologies and the highest quality standards to the Egyptian industry, in a way that contributes to implementing the national plan to consolidate local manufacturing, offering national products as per local and international specifications, as well as enhancing the investment climate.
A tripartite MoU was also signed on the sidelines of the contract signing among the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Benya Capital; with the aim of achieving mutual cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, and building human capabilities to prepare human cadres trained in the field of installing, operating and maintaining optical fiber networks.
