The first ship of the Egyptian relief aid arrived at Beirut’s sea port on Friday morning, carrying urgent and necessary assistance for the Lebanese people in the wake of the massive deadly explosion that rocked the port on August 4.
The Egyptian ship is loaded with 125 tons of glass provided by the Federation of Egyptian Industries to contribute to renovating Beirut’s sea port.
The move comes upon directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to support Lebanon after the devastating explosion caused severe damage across Beirut.
The ship was received by Egypt’s Ambassador in Beirut Yasser Elwi.
