Egyptian amb. presents his credentials to Central African president

Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon Medhat Kamal el Meligy presented his credentials to President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadera as a non-resident ambassador to Central Africa.

In a press release, the Foreign Ministry said the meeting was also attended by Central African Foreign Minister Sylvie Baïpo-Temon and a number of senior officials and top military brass of Central Africa.

During the meeting, Touadera thanked his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the aid relief sent by Egypt to Central Africa. He also hailed Egypt’s role in the country via participating in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

The president also asserted the importance of boosting bilateral relations in all fields as well as attracting more Egyptian investments to his country.

The Egyptian diplomat, for his part, reiterated Egypt's commitment to fully supporting Central Africa and offering all possible help needed by the African state.
