The Ministry of Justice decided to launch a remote civil litigation service in six primary courts, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop and to automate the litigation system, and in line with the state's digital transformation policy. The courts are: New Cairo Court, Port Said Court, North Cairo Court, South Cairo Court, South Giza Court and North Giza Court.
This service is represented in the possibility of instituting civil lawsuits, paying fees, determining sessions and notifying their dates without going to the court. Such service is provided through Egypt’s digital portal, but the litigation process remains in the presence of the parties before the judge at this stage.
It is worth noting that this service was previously launched experimentally in the New Cairo Court of First Instance, in light of the constructive cooperation between the Ministries of Justice, Communications and Information Technology.
The Ministry of Justice calls upon the lawyers to use this new service, and welcomes their suggestions aiming to help them in fulfilling the rights of citizens, and to accelerate the achievement of justice.
