Egypt, Ukraine discuss cooperation

Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Badr Abdel Aaty held talks with Director of the Office of the Ukrainian President for International Relations Ihor Zhovkva and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed means of boosting joint cooperation along with other issues of joint interest, said a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday 28/10/2020.
The meeting took up enhancing economic relations and attracting more Ukrainian investments into Egypt along with increasing Egyptian exports to Ukraine, according to the statement.
Abdel Aaty reviewed investment opportunities in Egypt and incentives offered by the Egyptian government especially in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, added the statement.
The two sides also discussed the situation in Libya along with the recent developments in Syria and efforts for fighting terrorism.
The Ukrainian official said his visit to Egypt is paid according to directives by the Ukrainian president.
The Ukrainian leadership is keen on enhancing cooperation with Egypt in all fields, he pointed out.
