Egyptian premier accorded red-carpet reception at Iraqi cabinet premises

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi rolled out a red carpet to welcome his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouli at the Iraqi cabinet premises Saturday.
The official reception was held at the Iraqi cabinet garden and the national anthems of both countries were played in the presence of a number of ministers.
The Egyptian-Iraqi High Committee meetings are due to kick off later today under the co-chairmanship of the two countries’ premiers.
The Egyptian delegation is comprising the ministers of electricity, oil and mineral wealth, manpower, international cooperation, health, housing and utilities, transport, aviation, trade and industry, Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) along with a number of senior government officials.
A number of businessmen from both countries are expected to attend the higher committee meetings and the business forum held on the fringe of talks.
Iraq and Egypt are expected to sign a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding to enhance joint cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
Also, Madbouli is scheduled to hold a series of talks with top Iraqi officials.
