Sisi attends opening of King Salman Univ., national projects in Sharm

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday attended the inauguration ceremony of King Salman University alongside the opening of several national projects here.

The president, also, attended the inauguration of Sharm El Sheikh Museum as well the Royal Vehicles Museum.

Saudi Prince Fahd bin Sultan, the governor of Tabuk province, along with a galaxy of ministers and senior statesmen and officials were present at the inauguration of the national projects.

During the inauguration ceremony of King Salman University in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh, president Sisi watched a short film titled "Sinai's Modern Beacons" that featured the historical status of Sinai and the recent achievements of Armed Forces and police there to eliminate terrorism.

The film highlighted the establishment of three universities in South Sinai as part of a national project bearing the name "King Salman International University" which comprises 15 colleges and 56 academic programs distributed among the three smart branches of the university in the cities of Tur, Ras Sedr and Sharm el Sheikh.

The university aims to meet the needs of the international market as well the fourth industrial revolution.

The university is set to receive more then 25,000 Egyptian and foreign students after the finalization of all its stages.

It introduces, for the first time in Egypt, the college of desert farming along with most advanced curricula of water and marine sciences.

The university will also comprise a college for the unique technological industries, colleges of tourism and museums and heritage sciences.
