Diaa Rashwan, the Head of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, stressed his keenness and full commitment of the Syndicate Council as well to maintain the dignity of journalists, their profession and their syndicate, and to protecting them by all legal and syndicate means while carrying out their work. This came in a statement by the Head of the Journalists Syndicate with respect to the notes and statements recently submitted by members of the Syndicate and its board.
The head of the Journalists Syndicate, Diaa Rashwan, called on all the various institutions concerned to respect the role of press and to deal with journalists according to the guarantees provided to them by the constitution, as required by society and supported by the state, in order to perform their tasks in searching for the truth, forming correct awareness and accurate recognition of the conditions of our beloved country.
Diaa Rashwan, the head of the Journalists Syndicate, announced that, through communication with Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, it was agreed to organize a joint meeting within a week for the documentation of the cooperation of Egyptian press representatives in the ministry and to facilitate their work, solve any problems or obstacles facing them, and overcome the recent inconveniences concerning such cooperation.
He announced that this meeting would be preceded by inviting the concerned colleagues to a meeting in the Syndicate to discuss their demands related to facilitating their journalistic work in the Ministry. He, also, greeted all the journalist colleagues who are following the tourism and antiquities file for their high professional efforts in this file.
