Egypt calls for resuming negotiations to reach legal deal over Ethiopian dam

Egypt asserted on Thursday 19/11/2020 the importance of resuming negotiations as soon as possible to reach a legal agreement over the Ethiopian dam according to the outcome of the African Union meetings in this regard that were held in the past few months.

This came during the participation of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati in the meeting of the Egyptian, Sudanese and Ethiopian ministers of foreign and water resources.

The meeting was headed by the South African foreign minister as South Africa is the current president of the African Union.

During the meeting, Egypt asserted its keenness on participating in a new set of negotiations that will be held in the upcoming few days to reach a just and moderate solution for the three African countries.
