Trade Minister issues decision banning importation of sugar for 3 months

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has issued a decision banning the importation of both white and crude sugar for three months.
Sugar can only be imported with certain amounts after the approval of the ministers of trade and industry and supply and internal trade, Gamea said in a statement on Thursday 03/12/2020.
She added the decision was adopted after full coordination with the minister of supply and internal trade and aims at further monitoring imported products in light of precautionary measures, taken by the Egyptian government to curb the spread of COVID-19.
