Veteran writer Waheed Hamed died on Saturday 02/01/2021 at the age of 76 after suffering from illness.

Hamed's health condition deteriorated over the past days after suffering a heart attack as well as lung problems. He was transferred to hospital and brought into the intensive care room.

The funeral prayer will be held at police mosque at Sheikh Zayed neighborhood following noon prayers on Saturday.
