Sisi directs govt to get acquainted with villagers needs as part of Decent Life Initiative

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi instructed on Tuesday12/1/2021 the government to directly contact residents of the 1,500 villages, which are covered as part of the first phase of the national project to upgrade villages nationwide, within the framework of the Decent Life Initiative.

Sisi's directives came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawi, Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar, Social Solidarity Minister Nevine el Qabbag, and Presidential Adviser for Financial Affairs Mohamed Amin.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that President Sisi directed the bodies concerned to get acquainted with the village residents' needs, requirements and opinions about developing their villages.

Sisi ordered that this project include regulating the distribution of government premises that offer services in governorates and villages, and linking them with ministries in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting reviewed details of the executive steps taken as part of the project's first phase that aims to upgrade 1,500 villages across the country, Rady said.

The development process targets improving the infrastructure of these villages, as well as the services offered there, such as health, education and social programs, he added.
