Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi underlined that the Egyptian government is taking all needed health measures to protect all participants in the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship which Egypt hosts.
He made the remarks on Saturday during a virtual meeting with Health Minister Hala Zayed and heads of delegations taking part in the tournament.
President of the International Handball Federation Hassan Moustafa also attended the meeting.
He added that he is following up around the clock the precautionary health measures taken in all places where participants in the event are present.
He thanked Zayed for the great role played by the Health Ministry in taking all preventive measures for the championship.
For her part, Zayed highlighted that coronavirus situation in Egypt is stable and less dangerous than other world countries.
She stressed that the government is dealing strictly with health measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, President of the International Handball Federation Hassan Moustafa said the coronavirus exists allover the world, but the situation is much better.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of participating delegations commended the precautionary measures adopted by Egypt as well as the outstanding organization of the event.
