President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday 16/1/2021 directed the government to provide all needed financial resources for building an integrated city for goldsmiths and gold dealers.

He noted that the city must be established in accordance with state-of-the-art technologies to reflect Egypt's centuries-old heritage in this handcraft work that requires painstaking accuracy.

Sisi made the directives during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and the ministers of petroleum and mineral resources, supply and internal trade.

Also, the presidential advisers for urban planning and financial affairs attended the meeting.

The talks tackled the city's construction scheme.

He called for providing all production supplies, setting up splendid exhibitions and providing the city's workers with training opportunities to hone their skills, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.

Sisi also underscored the need to take logistical considerations into account while selecting the city's location to make use the state's improved road network and facilitate visitors' access to it.

Meanwhile, the president also took up the ongoing executive steps to improve the national bread subsidy system through effective governance, digitization and depending on natural gas to operate bread bakeries.
