Manpower ministry reviews vistas of cooperation with Germany

A number of Manpower Ministry officials had talks on Saturday 16/1/2021 with the North Africa regional coordinator for refugees and migrant affairs at the German embassy on means of promoting cooperation with the German government, especially with regard to available job opportunities for Egyptians.
The head of the ministry’s central administration for foreign affairs, Amal Abdel Mawgod, reviewed the ministry’s missions, especially with regard to its role in the private sector and the fruitful cooperation with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency to promote youths’ small ventures.
She also highlighted cooperation with local and international bodies, including the International Labor Organization, to secure proper chances for immigration to curb illegal immigration.
The ministry also collaborates with LAYA project which aims to offer positive alternatives for Egyptian youths to avoid the dangers of illegal immigration.
She noted that the ministry is keen on supporting Egyptian workers inside and outside Egypt.
Meanwhile, the German embassy official noted that the new German law gave due attention to immigrant workers, noting that this law opened the door for well-trained workers to join the German labor market not just academics.
