Friday، 22 January 2021 - 01:13 PM

Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Niveen Gamea said that her meeting with Sudanese Finance Minister Heba Mohamed Ali paid focus on increasing the trade exchange between the two neighboring countries.
Egypt is eager to double the trade exchange with Sudan, Gamea said after her meeting with Ali, where they agreed on several measures, which expected to facilitate the entry of the Egyptian products into Sudan.
Leading a high-level delegation, Gamea arrived in Khartoum on Wednesday, to take part in the 38th Khartoum International Fair, held in the Sudanese capital on January 21-28.
Egypt’s participation in the fair comes with several companies, representing eight economic sectors, along with many government ministries and agencies, which are all eager to provide support to Sudan.
For her side, Ali hailed the deep-historic ties with Egypt, citing that the trade exchange between Khartoum and Cairo hit 862 million dollars in 2020, up from 675 million dollars in 2019.
Sudan plans to increase the trade exchange between the two countries threefold or quadruple, Ali added. MENA
