Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki sent on Sunday January 24,2021 a cable of greetings to Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq on Police Day which falls on January 25.

In the cable, he hailed the great patriotic role played by police forces in maintaining internal security, referring to their historical efforts in combating the British occupation in 1952.

Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid sent a similar cable to Tawfiq.
