Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar said Sunday that about 70 percent of concrete structures of residential buildings in Soor Magra el Eyoun area will be completed by the end of February.

This is part of a project that is being implemented over 95 feddans, the minister said as he visited the site, noting that it also includes the establishment of a mall, a hotel, restaurants, cafeterias and bazars.

Gazzar said his Ministry acted to remove obstacles facing the building of the residential units, including the high levels of groundwater and soil replacement.

The minister urged quick action to complete the project, which is one of many meant to restore the historical and cultural role of the Egyptian capital.
