Minister of Planning and Economic Cooperation Hala Saeed on Tuesday witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between her ministry and ECOnsult Company for engineering and environmental consultations.

The protocol comes within the framework of efforts by the government to achieve sustainable development in Egyptian villages and rural communities, said the ministry in a statement.

Also, the protocol comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors in the field of sustainable development, added the statement.

According to the protocol, the company will prepare reports on the implementation of sustainable development goals in rural area along with offering proposals on the best way to achieve development in poor areas, according to the statement.

Saeed reviewed efforts for economic reform in Egypt highlighting that the economic reform program led to achieving economic stability and realizing high growth rates despite the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, added the statement.
