Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli directed the bodies concerned to coordinate for providing a list of all the houses to renovated as part President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s “Decent Life” initiative.
Highlighting the initiative’s importance during a virtual meeting with the Council of Governors on Monday, Madbouli also asserted the need for providing alternative accommodation for the initiative’s beneficiaries in coordination with the MPs and mayors concerned in the targeted villages.
He also underlined the importance of speeding up the measures necessary for conducting an inventory of all the land plots to be allocated for establishing wastewater treatment plants as part of the initiative’s projects.
Madbouli also urged the authorities concerned in all governorates to stay vigilant and be prepared for any emergencies arising from anticipated adverse weather conditions, in close coordination with all the bodies concerned in each governorate.
He also emphasized the importance of complying with a government’s ban on using building basements and garages for storing or commercial purposes, stressing that any violations on that score would be considered a threat to national security.
The ministers of housing, local development and transport attended the meeting.
