Sunday، 28 February 2021 - 12:30 PM

Spokesperson for the Health and Population Ministry Khaled Megahed said 7,000 citizens have registered online for anti-coronavirus vaccine.
After finalizing the vaccination of medical staff at 40 quarantine hospitals free, Megahed said the State began vaccination plan for high-priority citizens, adding that citizens above 65 years have the right to register for the vaccine.
Speaking to MBC Misr Channel late on Saturday, the spokesperson said registration is done either online (http://mohpegypt.com) or at certain health facilities.
The spokesperson said citizens should provide 3 medical reports to determine their health status, and then the website automatically determines priority regarding receiving the vaccine. Then, a text message will be sent to citizens on when and where they could receive the vaccine.
Eligible citizens have to take two shots of the vaccine (21 days apart) at a cost of LE 200 (US$ 12.73) per shot.
He said those who are unable to pay for the vaccines will be vaccinated free according to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives.
Recently, Egypt received a vaccine shipment – consisting of 300,000 doses - granted by China.
