Activities of Egypt, Pakistan air defense drill wrapped up

The activities of the Egyptian and Pakistani joint military exercise, conducted bDy units of the air defense forces in Egypt wrapped up on Friday 04/06/2021.

The first-of-its-kind drill, code-named “Sky Protectors-1”, came as part of military cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan.

The activities included a pre-training phase to achieve integration between the participating forces by carrying out a set of theoretical and practical lectures to review modern and advanced air defense systems and organizing an exhibition of the participating weapons and air defense equipment.

The participating forces from both sides also carried out joint tactical exercises, which revealed the capability of the joint naval forces to efficiently and rabidly perform their tasks.

Concluding the war games, Commander of the Egyptian Air Defense Forces Mohamed Hegazi conveyed the greetings of Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki, and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid to the units took part in the drills, and hailed the excellence of the forces during the maneuver.

For his side, Commander of the Pakistani Air Defense Forces Hamoud Al-Zaman underscored the importance of the “Sky Protectors-1” drills as reflecting the deep ties and strategic cooperation between Islamabad and Cairo.

The training aimed at exchanging expertise between the two countries in the field of air defense in light of the spread of advanced aerial attack weapons.
