Awqaf Minister: Taking care of disabled persons is religious, national, humanitarian duty

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa hailed the achievements realized by the disabled persons add to the community's power, stressing that taking care of handicapped persons is a religious, national and humanitarian duty.
In statements on Saturday 04/12/2021, Gomaa underlined the ministry's deep interest in taking care of people with special needs.
He noted that the ministry spent about EGP 90 million in several initiatives serving disabled persons, including EGP 20 million to Noor Hayat initiative for visually impaired persons, and EGP 50 million to the Charitable Investment Fund for the Support of Persons with Disabilities "Ataa".
He added that the ministry also translates the Friday sermon into sign language to communication with deaf and dumb people.
