President’s Meetings with government officials
On January 1, 2022, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Social Solidarity Minister Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Commerce and Industry Nevin Gamea, and a number of senior officials. The meeting discussed "following up on the executive position of establishing an industrial complex for compensatory devices".
The President called for promoting integration, between all state bodies concerned, and making use of considerable foreign expertise in this field, in order to transfer technology and to have the national capability for manufacturing and production using the best international materials. This aims to produce a high quality product within the framework of the new system of the production of prosthetics in Egypt, and to provide training programs on the use of those devices in accordance with the latest international standards. The president also directed to prepare a comprehensive database to check the number of persons with mobility impairment all over the Republic. The president also gave directives to achieve integration between all academic specialties related to prosthetics and physiotherapy in the curricula of modern scientific colleges recently established by the State, with the aim of creating a technological incubator that will be used for the benefit of the industrial complex to be established for the production of prosthetics.
On Jan 3, 2022, President El-Sisi met with the Economic Ministerial Group in the presence of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Central Bank Governor Tarek Amer and a number of ministers and senior officials. They discussed "a review of the basic indicators of the Egyptian economy during 2021 and the position of the trade balance, exports and imports, as well as development cooperation with international partners".
They also reviewed the most prominent sectors that promote exports abroad, including chemical products, building materials, food industries, engineering and electronic goods, agricultural products and ready-made garments. Moreover, the qualitative distribution of the largest commodity groups in the Egyptian import structure, were also reviewed, with the aim of encouraging reliance on the localization of industry.
The President also directed to strengthen the efficiency of the export support system and the expansion of the base of products benefiting from its programmes, with a focus on the high value-added industrial sectors.
On Jan 4, 2022, President El-Sisi met Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning, Major General Ihab al-Far, Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, Major General Walid Abu al-Majd, Director of the National Service Projects for the Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Contracting Company, Major General Karam Salem. The President was briefed on the State's efforts in dealing with various industrial wastes, particularly marble and granite in industrial and craft areas operating in this sector. Mr. President directed to provide all the sources of funding and equipment required at the highest level in order to manage waste in industrial areas with high efficiency, in addition to working to maximize the exploitation of the recycling of such wastes, because of their positive environmental impact and to maintain the safe living and health conditions of citizens.
On January 16, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and a number of ministers and senior officials. The meeting focused on the follow-up of new public transportation projects at the level of the clean-energy republic. In this context, the President was briefed on the executive position and the progress of the new transportation projects that are being added for the first time to the public transportation system in Egypt. The new system operates by clean green energy to preserve the environment and help reduce pollution, rationalize energy, reduce accidents and improve public health. The President directed to quickly complete the new public transport system nationwide because of its qualitative shift and civilized addition that facilitates the movement of citizens quickly and safely. In addition to that, it contributes to improving living, economic and environmental conditions, and copes with the huge development process that Egypt is currently witnessing. The president also directed to take care of the operating systems and technical cadres that will work to manage these systems, so that they would be scientifically qualified to keep up with the modernity and development of the technology used.
On January 17, 2022, President El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Major General Kamel al-Wazir, minister of transport, and Major General Ahmed Al-Shazly, head of the Armed Forces Finance Authority. The meeting discussed the new clean energy mass transport projects; namely, the electric express train, the monorail train, the LRT train and the BRT express bus that will operate on the ring road. The meeting also discussed the expansions and new lines of the subway. The President directed to quickly complete the new mass transportation system because of its qualitative shift and cultural addition. Besides, the new transportation system facilitates the transportation quickly and safely, and contributes to improving economic, environmental, and living conditions. It copes with the huge development process that Egypt is currently witnessing. The president also directed to take care of the operating systems and technical cadres that will work to manage this system.
On Jan 18, 20202, president El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policy Ahmed Kajuk and Deputy Minister of Finance for Treasury Dr. Ihab Abu Aish.
The spokesman for the Egyptian presidency stated that the meeting discussed "the draft budget for the next fiscal year 2022-2023".
During the meeting, the President was briefed on the latest development of the tax system. He gave directives to the Ministry of Finance to complete those projects for the mechanization of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) the electronic bill system, the mechanization and development of tax procedures, before the end of the current year.
The existing efforts to activate the unified regulatory structure of the TAX Authority and the executive position of various measures to combat tax evasion either through tax campaigns or through the new e-tax unit, were also presented. Moreover, the tax revenue for the first half of the current fiscal year, which saw a growth rate of about 17% compared to the same period last year, and an increase of 5% over the target, was reviewed. In this context, Mr. President gave directives to take all necessary measures to facilitate procedures to financiers.
On January 19, 2022, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Muhamed Awad Taj El-deen, the President's Advisor on Health and Prevention. The meeting discussed following up on the current epidemiological situation of the spread of Corona virus all over the Republic. The meeting also focused on the executive position of the health center of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family, as well as the progress of the national project for the manufacture and assembly of plasma derivatives, as well as the State's efforts to reduce road accidents.
In this context, Dr. Muhammad Awad Tajeddine presented the current measures taken by the government to contain the spread of THE CORONA VIRUS, including vaccination campaigns for citizens, as well as to equip all medical facilities to receive and deal with cases.
On January 22, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and a number of ministers, and reviewed the executive position of a number of national projects in the food security and agriculture sector.
On January 30, 2022, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Justice Minister Omar Marwan and discussed "the Justice Department's efforts to complete late court cases, as well as preparing the national legislative database."
On January 31, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talat, as part of the ministry's plans to participate in the state's efforts to contribute to the government's plan for digital transformation, as well as maximizing the state's capabilities and support efforts to advance Development in Egypt.
On January 31, 2022, President Abd El Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfiq, and discussed "efforts to develop public business companies."
Field tours, events, and celebrations
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected a number of multi-use vehicles, powered by natural gas and electricity, as part of his interest in the clean energy transport system, in the presence of General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, Major General Kamal Wafai, Director of Vehicle Management of the Armed Forces, Major General Muhamad Abd El-Fattah, , and Engineer Karim Ghabour, Chairman of MCV. The President received a detailed explanation about the advantages of these vehicles and the areas that can be utilized in accordance with the future vision of the state.
President Abd El Fattah El-Sisi participated in the Christmas celebrations held at the Cathedral of "Christmas" in the new administrative capital. He was received by Pope Tawadros II, Patriarch of the Marquis Evangelism.
On January 23, 2022 President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi attended the 70th anniversary of Police Day.The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb Sheikh al-Azhar, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria, Patriarch of The Marquis, Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Hanafi Jabali, President of the Senate Chancellor Abdul Wahab Abdul Razek, Interior Minister Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, and a number of senior statesmen.
The President of the Republic witnessed the opening of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum
-The opening session of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum kicked off on January 10, 2022. The session was opened in the presence of President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, his wife and Egypt's top guests. The forum was held under the theme "Return together", with the participation of young people from 196 countries of different continents of the world, in the city of Peace; Sharm El-Sheikh.
-President Abd El- Fattah al-Sisi received Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on the sidelines of the fourth session of the World Youth Forum in Sharm el-Sheikh. The President stressed his pride in the close relations between Egypt and Lebanon.
-President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his delegation in the presence of General Abbas Kamel, head of general intelligence. The president stressed the stability of Egypt's position in support of the Palestinian cause and its fair and comprehensive settlement in accordance with international legitimacy. The president also stressed Egypt's keenness to support the current Palestinian diplomatic movement internationally and regionally in order to find a political path that would allow the resumption of peace negotiations.
For his part, the Palestinian President expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Egypt's sincere efforts under the leadership of Mr. President and its efforts to support the Palestinian cause and enable the Palestinian people to face the various challenges. He praised Egypt's historic role in this regard to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi was keen to hold an open meeting with representatives of the foreign media, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Madbouli prime minister and a number of ministers, as well as a group of young people participating in the World Youth Forum. Dialogue and meaningful discussion on global issues were held with young people from different countries and cultures. The president expressed his happiness to attend the forum in its fourth edition after it was interrupted because of the Corona pandemic, which represented a major challenge to the whole world.

Receiving the President of south Korea
On 20 January 2022, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, received President Moon Jae-In and his wife at Al-Itehadya Palace.
The two presidents held bilateral talks, followed by an extended session between the delegations of the two countries. The President welcomed his South Korean counterpart, on the first visit of a South Korean president to Egypt in nearly 16 years, praising the depth of relations between the two friendly countries, and the remarkable momentum witnessed during the past period. The president stressed the importance of working to activate the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two sides.
For his part, the Korean president expressed his happiness to visit Egypt for the first time, thanking Mr. President for the hospitality of reception, and expressing concern for the continued coordination and consultation between the two friendly countries in various fields.
The talks discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly economic, investment and trade, as well as cooperation in the development of the railway sector, which is one of the important priorities on which the Egyptian state relies to make a qualitative shift in the development process currently under way.
The two presidents also discussed the prospects of maximizing cooperation between the two countries in the localization of the electric car industry in Egypt, in addition to cooperation in the field of telecommunications, information technology and digitization, tourism, infrastructure projects and mining.
Receiving the President of the Algerian Republic
On January 25, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, president of Algeria at Al-Itehadya Palace. President El-Sisi held bilateral talks with the Algerian president, followed by a session of extensive discussions in the presence of the delegations of the two countries, where the President welcomed the visit of his brother President Tebboune as a dear guest.
For his part, the Algerian president expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, stressing that his current visit to Egypt comes as a continuation of the process of distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries.
The talks touched on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels. The talks also focused on the exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Receiving the President of Senegal
On January 29, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received President Macky Sall President of Senegal at Al-Itehadya Palace. The President welcomed President Macky Sall in Egypt, expressing appreciation for the close historical relations and joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, stressing Egypt's keenness to strengthen relations and consolidate strategic cooperation with Senegal in various areas.
For his part, the President of Senegal expressed his country's appreciation for the distinguished historical relations with Egypt, stressing the keenness to develop those relations in various fields, especially trade and economic cooperation.
President's meetings with foreign officials
President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received Ambassador Mohammed Saleh al-Thuwaikh, Kuwaiti ambassador to Egypt. The president expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of Ambassador al-Thuwaikh in supporting and strengthening Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations. The president asked him to convey his greetings to His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Mashal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. Moreover, the president stressed Egypt's full support for Kuwait's security and stability in the face of regional challenges, within the framework of Egypt's fixed policy to safeguard Gulf security.
For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his honor to meet the President, stressing his pride in the period of work in Cairo.
The Kuwaiti ambassador conveyed to the President the greetings of Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mashaal Al-Ahmad Al Jaber al-Sabah, stressing Kuwait's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation in a way that meets the aspirations of the two peoples and two brotherly countries.
On January 2, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, received Dr. Ghada Waly, the Director-General/ Executive Director of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV)/ United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The President stressed Egypt's support for the role of the United Nations in addressing global and regional challenges related to combating crime, drugs and terrorism.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Waly sincerely appreciated the efforts of the President and his continued support for the role of the organization. Dr. Ghada Waly also noted the preparations under way in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism to organize an international conference in Egypt this year on combating antiquities smuggling as one of the sources of financing terrorism and organized crime.
On January 5, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received at Al-Itehadya Palace Muhammad Idriss Deby, president of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad. The president stressed Egypt's keenness to provide full support to Chad during the current transition, as well as strengthen relations between the two countries at various levels.
On January 17, 2022, President El-Sisi received Ramtane Lamamra, minister of foreign affairs of Algeria, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. The president welcomed the Algerian Foreign Minister in Egypt, asked him to convey his greetings to resident Abdelmajid Taboun, and appreciated the distinguished fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries. The President also pointed out Egypt's keenness to push forward the bilateral cooperation between the two countries at various levels.
For his part, Minister Ramtane Lamamra conveyed to the President a written message from Algerian President Abdelmajid Taboun, which included Algeria's pride in its close and distinguished relations with Egypt at the official and popular levels.
On January 26, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi went to the United Arab Emirates within the framework of the Egyptian-UAE relations and the two countries' historical fraternal ties and mutual cooperation and coordination relations at all levels.
President El--Sisi met with His Highness Sheikh Muhammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed President El-Sisi as a dear guest and expressed the pride of the Government and the People of the UAE for the close historical ties and close relations they have with Egypt and its people in various fields.
For his part, the President expressed his pride in the warm reception he received, stressing the strength of Egyptian-UAE relations and Egypt's keenness to develop close bilateral cooperation and coordination for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab nation.
