NCW hails decision to launch 4 entities to issue women-related fatwas

The National Council for Women (NCW) under Maya Morsi hailed a decision issued by Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa to launch four entities authorized to issue women-related fatwas (religious edicts).
In a statement Tuesday, Morsi voiced happiness over issuing such an unprecedented decision, saying that this decision shows the women's ability to issue fatwas.
This great step came as part of the Awqaf Ministry's efforts to attain women empowerment, which falls also within the framework of the State's keenness on implementing the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Women 2030, added Morsi.
The US dollar exchange rate was stable at the beginning of Tuesday's transactions at Egypt's major banks.
At the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, the dollar rate registered EGP 18.36 for buying and EGP 18.42 for selling.
At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar exchange rate recorded EGP 18.38 for buying and EGP 18.44 for selling.
As for main currencies' exchange rates, world capital markets and banks are being affected on the back of repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The euro price registered EGP 19.57 for buying and EGP 19.77 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE.
The pound sterling at the NBE and Banque Misr registered EGP 23.03 for buying and EGP 23.20 for selling.
At the CIB, the pound sterling exchange rate amounted to EGP 23.06 for buying and EGP 23.23 for selling.
The Saudi riyal price stood at EGP 4.89 for buying and EGP 4.91 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE.
