Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat asserted that her ministry resumes efforts with multi and bilateral development partners to boost innovative finance for climate action, urging the Institute of International Finance (IIF) to promote cooperation in this respect.

This came during Mashat’s meeting with IIF executive director and IIF regional director for Middle East and Africa via video conference.

The meeting discussed mechanisms of innovative finance and proposals of joint cooperation with the IIF within the framework of Egypt’s presidency of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27).

The IIF welcomes Egypt’s hosting of COP 27 in light of the great importance of the conference.
