Egypt's monthly inflation rate increases by 0.9% in July

Egypt’s headline monthly inflation recorded an increase by 0.9% last July, if compared to the same month last year, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
CAPMAS attributed the rise in inflation rates to the notable increase in the prices of cereal and bread by 1 percent, dairy, cheese and egg group by 5.2 percent, fruits by 7.5 percent and transportation services by 6.4 percent.
The annual headline inflation accelerated to 14.6 percent last July, up from 6.1 percent in the correspondent month of 2021, it added.
