Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs launched “Speak Arabic” initiative in December 2020 to connect the sons of Egyptian expatriates with their homeland and teach them the Arabic language.
“Speak Arabic” is one of the national initiatives targeting the language skills of Egyptian expatriates through listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also targets preparing an educational manual for parents, introducing national events, preserving identity and introducing our sons abroad to Egyptian heritage, customs, traditions and values. Moreover, it provides learners with the ability to communicate with family and friends in Egypt and abroad in order to increase the coherence among the sons of Egyptians abroad in various countries.
The initiative targets age brackets from 3 to 6 years as phase I, from 6 to 12 years as phase II, and from 12 to 18 years as phase III.
"Speak Arabic" Online Application
The Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs launched “Speak Arabic” online application in cooperation with Nahdet Misr Publishing House, under the slogan of “Speak Arabic and live it the Egyptian Way,” with the aim of preserving the Egyptian national and cultural identity among Egyptian children living abroad.
The application includes the map of Egypt. Indeed, “Speak Arabic” is the first application to teach the Arabic language, many activities and competitive games in the field so that children can pass and reach a higher ranking in competitions with their peers.
The initiative has gained wide acceptance from many Egyptian families abroad to learn the Arabic language, use the online application, and participate in the camps organized by the Ministry of Immigration.
