Presidential decree extending tenure of Egypt’s Mufti

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued on Friday Decree No. 354 of 2022 to extend the tenure of Shawqy Allam as Egypt’s Mufti for one year starting from August 12, 2023.
The decree was published in the official gazette.
The Mufti extended thanks to the president over such confidence and his support for the Islamic institution to counter extremist and terrorist ideologies and thoughts.
