Kafr El-Sheikh Governor Gamal Nour El-Din, Canadian Minister of International Development Harjit Sajjan, and Canadian Ambassador to Egypt Louis Dumas on Saturday 13/08/2022 paid an inspection tour to two farmer field schools (FFS).

The tour aimed at reviewing the success stories of these schools and their positive effect to transfer the experience in areas near the Mediterranean Sea to reduce soil salinity, improve drainage, and increase crops productivity.

These schools aim to educate farmers about the most important technical recommendations that must be taken into account in cultivation including serving land, choosing the appropriate crops, best dates to start planting crops and best ways to breed livestock, the governor said.
