Armed Forces hold training course for MINURCA female members

The Armed Forces have organized a training course for female members of the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic (MINURCA).

The course, held in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry's Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support security and stability in Africa.

It is also part of Egypt's active participation in the UN peacekeeping forces in many countries.

During the opening session of the course, CCCPA director Ahmed Nehad Abdel Latif pointed out to the pivotal role played by Cairo to back peace and security at the regional and international levels.

For his part, Japan's Ambassador to Egypt Oka Hiroshi praised Egypt’s pioneering role in promoting peace, security and stability in Africa.

He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Armed Forces personnel participating in UN peacekeeping operations to support international security and stability.
