Meetings of the President with Government Officials
On August 1, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Waleed Abu al-Majd, Director General of the National Service Projects Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Karam Salem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Contracting Company, and Engineer Taha al-Jamal from the private sector."
The meeting dealt with efforts of the state, through the National Service body, in the localization of industry in cooperation with the private sector."
In this context, the President directed the establishment of an industrial complex to produce "polyethylene", to meet the needs of the local market of industrial components and reduce import expenses.
The President was briefed on the details of the largest industrial complex of its kind in the Middle East, which is expected to contribute to the production of a large part of the industrial supplies used in many sectors, such as the digital transformation sector through the production of all fiber works and supplies such as cables, as well as the modern transport sector such as the high-speed electric train and monorail.

On August 2, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Public Business Hisham Tawfik. The meeting dealt with "the state's strategy to develop the textile and garment industry in Egypt" In this context, the Minister of Public Business Sector presented the latest developments in the establishment of the largest spinning factory in the world in the city of Mahalla, which will be opened next year. The factory where will be built on an area of 62,000 square meters and will include the latest equipment and machines in this field using the expertise of major international companies.
On August 3, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, General Abbas Kamel, head of General Intelligence, and heads of civil society organizations who are members of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW). The meeting reviewed the activity of the NACDW. It consists of 24 associations and non-governmental institutions in addition to Hayah Karima Foundation, and the General Union of Civil Associations and Institutions. In this context, the efforts of the NACDW in the field of charitable and development at the level of the Republic within the framework of the system of social protection and social support of the State to serve the target groups were reviewed in coordination and cooperation between the Government and civil society institutions. The President directed to increase the government support to NACDW by an additional billion pounds to support its community activity, in conjunction with the current year 2022 being a year for civil society, and in an effort to continue social protection efforts for the most needy citizens by providing all possible social assistance.
On August 3, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El Said, and Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, Minister of Transport.
The meeting discussed the latest developments of the projects of the Ministry of Transport at the level of the Republic and the executive position of its construction stages.
On August, 4, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Mohamed Awad Tajideen, Advisor to the President for Health and Prevention Affairs.
The meeting dealt with the executive position of a number of presidential initiatives in the sectors of health care for citizens, universities and scientific research.
On August 7, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Eng. Tarek El Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Muhammad Maait, Minister of Finance.
The meeting dealt with the state's strategy for new and sustainable energy, as well as the electricity supply of national development projects.
On August 8, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Waleed Abu Al-Majd, Director of the National Service Projects Authority of the Armed Forces, and Eng. Ahmad Al-Suwaidi, CEO of Elsewedy Electric Group of Companies, Eng. Ahmed Odeh, President of El Sewedy Electric Infrastructure Company, and Eng. Wael Daoud, Executive Vice President of El Sewedy Electric Group of Companies.
On August 15, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Transport Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, and Mr. Nekorbnov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the German Railways Company "Deutsche Bahn", Eng. Ahmad Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elsewedy Electric, and Mr. Major General Sherif Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Tunnels Authority.
The official spokesperson of the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting reviewed the cooperation between the Ministry of Transport and the German railway company "Deutsche Bahn", to operate and manage the high-speed electric train system.
They reviewed the Ministry's efforts to crystallize the contract between the National Tunnels Authority and the German company to manage and operate the high-speed electric train network in Egypt with its three lines of 2,000 kilometers in partnership with the private sector represented by El Sewedy Electric.
For his part, the President of the German company "Deutsche Bahn" expressed his appreciation to meet with the President, looking forward to cooperation with the Ministry of Transport in the management and operation of the high-speed electric train system implemented in Egypt with its three lines. He added that the German company would also qualify and train Egyptian engineers and technicians.
The President stressed the Egyptian appreciation for the German experience in the field of management and operating systems. The president directed to immediately start contracting with the German company, and to focus on the qualifying aspect of technical human cadres.
The spokesperson explained that the German company Deutsche Bahn is the largest in the field of train line management and operation companies in Europe and among the similar major companies globally.
On August 15, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, with the attendance of Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport. The meeting reviewed the projects and activities of the Ministry of Transport all over the Republic.
During the meeting, the President was briefed on the executive position of the new means of transport that have been added to the mass public transport system in Egypt, especially with regard to the light electric train, monorail, high-speed electric train, stations works, construction works and overhead bridges.
On August 15, 2022, Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport.
The meeting focused on the projects and activities of the Ministry of Transport at the level of the Republic.
On August 16, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar.
The meeting reviewed the executive position of the national projects of the Ministry of Housing.
On August 20, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Muhammad Shaker, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Colonel Pilot Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam, Director of “Egypt’s Future” project.
The meeting reviewed the executive position of land reclamation projects at the level of the Republic, especially within the framework of the New Delta, East Oweinat, Toshki and Upper Egypt.
In this context, the President was briefed on the developments of the current and future stages of “Egypt’s Future" project.
The President directed to continue to provide full support for these projects in order to achieve the maximum planned production capacity, as a basic general principle for all development projects all over the Republic.
On August 21, 2022, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Finance Muhammad Maait, Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies Ahmad Kajouk, and Deputy Minister of Finance for Public Treasury Ihab Abu Eish.
The meeting discussed the fiscal policies and the development of the state's financial performance indicators."
On August 24, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly; Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad; Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Mr. El Qusayr; Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hani Sweilim; General Waleed Abu El Magd; Director General of the National Service Projects Authority of the Armed Forces; Major General Veterinary Doctor Islam Attia Abd El-Hamid; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Fisheries Company, Eng. Amr Abd El Wahab; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Rural Development Company; and Major General Hussein Farhat, Executive Director For the Protection and Development of Lakes for Fisheries.
The meeting discussed the efforts to develop and clear natural lakes at the level of the Republic, especially the lakes of Manzla and Nasser.
In this context, the President was briefed on the developments of the development and cleansing of Lake Manzala.
The meeting reviewed the executive position of the projects of the Egyptian Rural Development Company at the level of the Republic, in terms of the total land areas and infrastructure for land reclamation projects.
On August 27, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Major General AH Hisham Al-Suwaifi, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Ahmad Al-Azazi, Director of the Department of Major Projects at the Engineering Authority, Major General Ashraf Al-Arabi, Head of the Advisory Office of the Engineering Authority, and Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Fiqi, Assistant Chairman of the Engineering Authority for Road Designs.
The meeting discused the construction position of the projects of the Engineering Authority at the level of the Republic.
The President was briefed on the current executive position of the flood protection projects for the South Sinai region and the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The meeting also addressed the progress of the national project for the development of roads and axes at the level of the Republic. The President directed to complete all stages of the comprehensive development of the North Coast Road up to the city of Marsa Matruh.
On August 29, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat. The meeting reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of International Cooperation in mobilizing concessional development financing related to the issue of climate change.
On August 30, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Italian oil company, Eni, and a number of company officials with the attendance of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Mulla.
The meeting reviewed the current and future activities of the Italian company in Egypt in the fields of exploration and production of gas and oil, and cooperation in the field of renewable energy projects.
Minister Tarek El Molla reviewed the developments of the various projects implemented by the Italian company in Egypt, in cooperation between the company and government agencies, especially with regard to the production of natural gas in Egypt from the Zohr field as well as the export of liquefied gas based on liquefaction plants.
The Chairman of Eni also reviewed the integrated plan of cooperation with Egypt in the new and renewable energy sector, especially wind and solar energy.
Field tours
On August 6, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi made a tour of the Military College, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi made an inspection tour of the Military College at dawn today. During the tour, he was accompanied by General Muhammad Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military
Production, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches and a number of commanders of the Armed Forces.
The President's visit came within the framework of his keenness to follow up on the various training, rehabilitation and physical and skill preparation programs for students of military colleges and institutes.
The President also held a meeting with the students of the Military Academy and faculty members and listened to the views of the students and their inquiries on various issues and topics. He reviewed Egypt's position on foreign
policy topics and issues related to the Middle East region. Mr. President stressed Egypt's firm position on the Renaissance Dam and the preservation of Egypt's water security. He also tackled the efforts of the Egyptian state in the social protection projects of the Decent Life project.
Receiving Kings and Heads of State
On August 21, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received, at Alamein Airport, His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of
the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on international issues, regional security and the current situation in the
Arab region. They stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action to face the challenges in the Arab region and uniting all efforts aimed at
reaching lasting solutions to crises in the countries of the region.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the many promising opportunities to expand its horizons
to wider levels that enhance the strategic partnership between the two
countries, especially in the economic and development fields that support their
aspirations towards achieving sustainable development, progress and prosperity for their peoples.
On August 22, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received, at Al Alamein Airport, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibin Al Hussein, King of Jordan, His Majesty King
Hamad Ibin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and His Excellency Mustafa Al Kadhimi, Prime Minister of Iraq.
The meeting witnessed an exchange of views between the leaders on strengthening various aspects of bilateral relations and optimizing the use of all available fields to enhance cooperation between them.
On August 23, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received, at the Presidential Palace in New Alamein City, the distinguished guests of Egypt, His Majesty King Hamad Ibin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Highness Sheikh Muhammad Ibin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting also addressed friendly relations and various aspects of cooperation at various levels. The leaders reviewed, during their meeting, a number of regional and international issues.
Receiving foreign Officials
On August,25, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received General Tut Gatluak, Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Sudan for Security Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence, Minister of East African Affairs, Minister of Higher Education, Minister of Peacebuilding, and Rapporteur of the National Security Adviser in South Sudan.
The meeting witnessed an exchange of views on the developments of a number of regional issues of mutual interest, including the Renaissance Dam.
