President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the bodies concerned to speed the efforts needed to establish strategic storage facilities for medicines, using state-of-the-art technologies, Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag Eddin said.

During a phone interview with Sada El Balad satellite TV channel on Monday evening  26/9/2022, Tag Eddin added, "These strategic storage facilities will linked to all supply chains nationwide."

He said the State is working for equipping these facilities with word-class capabilities to secure adequate stocks of medicines to meet the country's needs in case of major crises, such as wars and pandemics.

Based on provincial needs, there will be main and secondary storage facilities, Tag Eddin said, noting that all facilities will be established and run by the State.
