President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated Al-Tameer axis in Alexandria which extends for 35 km, with 9 traffic lanes in each direction.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that this new axis is a huge paradigm shift that would open up new development prospects for west Alexandria. It would also connect Port of El-Dekheila with the Desert Road, the International Coastal Road and Borg El-Arab city. Being a vital pillar of development, the axis connects Alexandria with New Alamein City through the coastal road.

It was also mentioned that Al-Tameer axis is part of the network of roads and axes the State is constructing nationwide. These axes are no longer limited to easing traffic congestion; they now pave the way for planned urbanization. They also would support efforts to promote economic and trade revenues, provide job opportunities, and link national projects to each other, thus reflecting a comprehensive vision toward building, reconstruction and development.
