Meetings with government official


On December 12, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the first executive report of the National Strategy for Human Rights.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs indicated that the concerned authorities took part in the preparation of the report, within the framework of an integrated national work system, in implementing the strategy, and consulting with civil society on best practices for implementing the strategy on the ground.

The President welcomed the efforts made by the Permanent Higher Committee for Human Rights and all ministries and national authorities to implement the national strategy that was adopted last year with a purely national initiative. The president added that the implementation of the national strategy is a priority for the Egyptian government because of its positive impact on the advancement of the Egyptian society, stressing the need to continue and strengthen these efforts.

The president also highlighted the need to continue cooperation between the committee and various government agencies, civil society organizations and specialized national councils to enhance efforts related to human rights in Egypt within the framework of a constructive participatory approach, as well as to continue dialogue with countries, international and regional organizations and international mechanisms concerned with human rights issues to benefit from the best experiences and practices.

On December 12, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Major General Walid Abul Magd, Director General of the National Service Projects Agency for the Armed Forces, and Colonel Pilot Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam, director of the "Egypt's Future for Sustainable Development" agency.

The meeting discussed the developments of the executive position of the electric supply for the giant agricultural project, the "New Delta".

The President directed to expedite the steps to complete the additional electrical supply for the giant national project, the "New Delta", in accordance with the state's strategic plans for horizontal expansion in agricultural lands, in a way that helps absorb the expanding development rates at the level of the Republic.  

On December 18, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Major General Walid Abu Al-Majd, Director General of the National Service Projects Agency of the Armed Forces.

The meeting discussed the position of stocks of basic food commodities at the level of the Republic, as well as crop cultivation for the current agricultural season.

On December 20, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Eng. Mahmoud Mustafa, Minister of Public Business Sector.

The meeting discussed the plan to reform and develop public business sector companies, and improve the management of their assets.

 In this context, the President directed the continuation of efforts to develop public business sector companies with all its components, including qualifying and training professional and technical cadres, considering the importance and value of the business sector and its contribution to the overall development process.

On December 20, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention.

The meeting dealt with “the public health initiatives and developing health services in basic care units nationwide."

In this context, the President was briefed on the mechanisms for developing the health services delivery system in basic care units, including the units within the scope of the "Decent Life" initiative, with the aim of increasing employment rates, raising their efficiency, and supporting the services provided.

The President directed the allocation of stimulus packages for the medical staff working in the basic care units, as well as providing them with all the necessary medicines and devices to carry out their role to the fullest. The president also directed the addition of specialized clinics to the services of basic care units at the level of the Republic, in a way that helps cover the provision of health services for young people who are about to get married, as well as following up patients with chronic diseases and caring for the elderly, in addition to working to activate emergency services around the clock in some basic care units. The provision of home services for the elderly and people with special needs were also discussed.


On December 21, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi received Lieutenant General Muhammad Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production.

On December 22, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. During the meeting, they tackled the state's efforts for research and exploration in the field of natural gas and petroleum.

The President directed to intensify research efforts and expand new exploration areas, in pursuit of optimal economic and developmental utilization of Egypt's resources and maximizing the added reserves of natural gas, with the aim of meeting the needs of the local market and increasing exports to support the national product.

Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla presented the current and future investment plans for research and exploration until 2025 in the eastern and western regions of the Mediterranean, with the participation of major international energy companies and a total investment of about USD 2.1 billion.

On December 25, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Counselor Omar Marawan, Minister of Justice, Major General Gamal Awad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Social Insurance Authority, and Counselor Abdel Rahman Muhammad, Head of the Committee for Preparing the Draft Personal Status Law.

In this context, the President was briefed on the most prominent features of the new draft law, directing to include the establishment of a fund for family care and an insurance policy to support families financially in facing the expenses and challenges related to personal status issues, while providing financing sources for them, in addition to the state’s support, in order to preserve family cohesion and the future of the coming generations.

On December 25, 2022, President Abd El Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Counselor Omar Marwan, Minister of Justice, Mr. Gamal Awad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Social Insurance Authority, and Counselor Abd El-Rahman Muhammad, Chairman of the Committee for Preparing the Draft Personal Status Law.

On December 25, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.

The official spokesman for the Presidency stated that, during the meeting, they reviewed the results of the recent visit of the Egyptian ministerial delegation to Tanzania, as well as the executive position of the national projects of the Ministry of Housing at the level of the Republic.

Dr. Assem El-Gazzar presented the outcomes of the recent visit of the Egyptian ministerial delegation to Tanzania to participate in the celebration of the first filling of the reservoir of the Julius Nyerere hydroelectric dam, which is being implemented by the Egyptian alliance of the "Arab Contractors" and "El Sewedy Electric" companies, as the dam is the largest development project to be implemented.

For Tanzania, it will contribute to generating twice the volume of energy currently available in the country, with a storage capacity of about 34 billion cubic meters, and a capacity of 2115 megawatts.

The spokesman added that the meeting also witnessed a review of the position of projects within the New Administrative Capital.

In this regard, the President directed to make available housing units at an appropriate discount rate for employees moving to work in the New Administrative Capital, in the distinguished housing project in the R3 residential neighborhood, and within the framework of the incentive packages provided by the state to workers in the government sector in the Administrative Capital.

On December 28, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, and Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning.

The meeting dealt with "the development of the port system at the level of the Republic."

The President directed that the ports be developed in an integrated development manner that extends to the geographical surroundings of those ports, and to form a backbone of logistical areas to increase their absorptive capacity in a way that enhances their ability to support the movement of trade, export and import.  

The spokesman added that the Minister of Transport presented, in this regard, the existing efforts to develop the various ports on the country's coasts, especially with regard to redesigning and planning them and raising their efficiency.
