PM: Egypt-Serbia economic relations improving significantly
Monday، 06 February 2023 - 09:50 PM

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Egypt-Serbia relations are developing, pointing out to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to the European country in July 2022.
This visit represented a major impetus to relations between both countries in a way that helps increase the level of bilateral cooperation, Madbouli added during his meeting on Monday with former Serbian president Boris Tadić and his accompanying delegation.
The prime minister noted that Egypt-Serbia economic relations are improving significantly, adding that Cairo is looking forward to fostering cooperation with Belgrade in a number of fields, including agriculture.
He also talked about the effects of successive global developments, most notably the coronavirus pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine crisis, on economic conditions and the supply of food commodities to various countries of the world.
Meanwhile, the former Serbian president stressed his aspiration to promote cooperation with Egypt in the agricultural field through a proposal to establish a joint company to invest in this sector.
The proposal targets long-term Egyptian investment in the production of grains, especially wheat, corn and sunflower; given that the Balkan region is one of the largest exporters of those products.
