PM posted on outcome of CIHC combined business

Meeting under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli Wednesday, officials reviewed results of the Chemical Industries Holding Co. (CIHC) combined business.
Managing director of the CIHC Emadeddin Moustafa put the volume of revenues from trade activities in 2022 at 24.9 billion pounds compared with 20.1 billion pounds in the year before.
The net profit stood at 5.1 billion pounds Moustafa told the premier, adding that CIHC exports amounted to some 3.3 billion pounds in 2022 up from 1.3 billion pounds in 2021.
Moustafa said that the CIHC has 19 daughter firms with a workforce that exceeds 24,000 workers.
Prime Minister Madbouli said his government is keen on upgrading the efficiency and performance of all CIHC companies to be able to achieve the desired goals.
The government is acting to secure the required production inputs and equipment with the aim to locally settle the industry and enable firms to operate factories at full capacity, Madbouli added.
Attending the meeting today was also Minister of the Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat.
