Health ministry offered services to over 2 mln patients suffering from respiratory diseases in 2022

The Health and Population Ministry said Friday that it offered in 2022 medical services to 2.286 million patients suffering from respiratory diseases in 33 hospitals and 131 specialized clinics.
This was announced during a press conference that was held on the sidelines of the celebration of World TB Day under the rubric “Yes! We can end TB!” in participation with the World Health Organization and the Association against Smoking, Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din hailed achievements of the chest diseases hospitals nationwide and the measures taken by the Egyptian government to increase the numbers of those treated for respiratory diseases to exceed 88 percent in 2022.
Health ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar asserted the importance of cooperation between the ministry and the international organization in the field of combating tuberculosis.
