The General Authority for Healthcare (GAH) launched a Training of Trainers (TOT) program on clinical governance to raise working efficiency of health service providers at the governorates covered by the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) system.
Held in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), the training program targets GAH-affiliated healthcare facilities in Port Said, Luxor, and Ismailia, the authority revealed on Saturday 01/04/2023.
It covers various themes and frameworks of clinical governance, topped by patient and drug safety, safe surgery, adverse event reporting and management, paper and electronic information systems, and patient case as well as clinical reviews, the authority said.
The course also deals with evidence–based clinical qualifications, competencies, and approaches, such as clinical manuals, treatment protocols, and infection control and prevention mechanisms, noted the GAH in a statement.
The integrated 114-credit hour course included three stages of face-to-face training punctuated with a number of online training sessions.
