President Sisi attends Eidul Fitr celebration with families of army and police martyrs

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Friday morning 21/04/2023 the celebration of Eidul Fitr with the families of the martyrs and injured of the Egyptian Armed forces and police personnel at Al-Manara International Conference Center.
Earlier in the day, President Sisi performed the Eidul Fitr prayers at the Mosheer Tantawy Mosque in Cairo together with number of the children of martyrs.
Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar Ahmed El Tayeb, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff Osama Askar also performed the prayers, alongside a number of ministers and senior State officials.
Prayers started with “Al-Takbeer” in praise to Allah the Almighty and then recitation of verses of the holy Quran.
The mosque’s imam then delivered Eidul Fitr sermon, saying this blessed day is an occasion of mercy where people share love and make good deeds, noting that a true believer in God has a pure heart that does not know hate or deceit and that is filled with goodness and kind feelings for fellow mankind.
At the beginning of the celebration, a short documentary entitled "A Father for All Egyptians" highlighting parents' role in meeting the needs of their families was screened during the celebration.
The celebration then featured an artistic show performed by a number of artists.
The president also watched along with the families of the martyrs the operetta "Al-Leila Al-Kebira" (The Grand Night).
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored a number of families of the martyrs of the Egyptian Armed forces and police personnel at Al-Manara International Conference Center.
The president accompanied the children to a playground to participate in outdoor activities and handed out sweets and gifts to them.
At the end of the celebration, President El Sisi posed for a group photo with the children.
