Under the slogan ‘Drums, Dialogue for Peace’, the 10th edition of the International Festival for Drums kicked off on Saturday night at Beir Youssef Theatre at Saladin’s Citadel.

The festival, which will run till June 2, is the brainchild of director Intisar Abdel-Fattah, and will be held under the auspices of the Egyptian Minister of Culture.

The festival brings together representatives of different countries along with their cultures and drum beats.

The festival activities will be held at different venues, including Al-Hanager yard, Opera House premises, Al-Horeyya garden, Beit-Al-Sinnary, Al-Sayeda Zeinab, and the Child Museum.
